Testimonials from satisfied clients

Hanna Stotland was a great help and often vital resource for information as I was applying to college. She was honest about my chances at various schools, and most of her predictions came true when I opened my letters. She helped me with draft after draft of my essays and short-answers, making suggestions that, I think, made a big difference in the quality of the work. She gave me helpful study advice for the SAT. Most importantly, though, Hanna told me the truth. She answered all of my questions in a frank but friendly way. I didn’t want to click “submit” on anything until it was Hanna-approved, and I would recommend her to anyone trying to get into an extremely selective school. Thanks, Hanna! — Elizabeth L., accepted at Dartmouth, Columbia, NYU, and USC.

Hanna was paramount in my college application process. She was able to help me effectively portray who I am to colleges, and what made me special. My main essay was risky, yet Hanna was realistic with it, and she advised me on how to mold it to reflect me. I’m confident that that essay really helped me reach my dream school, Wellesley College. She was friendly, easy to work with, and indispensible while I was writing college essays.  — Rachel R., accepted early decision at Wellesley College

Hanna’s advice and guidance were invaluable during the essay process. Hanna was excellent at helping me improve my essays without telling me what I should write. With her help, my essays were acceptance-worthy and still 100% my own work. She brings out the words college applicants struggle to convey by themselves.  — Adam R., accepted early decision at Northwestern University

I dropped out of high school during my junior year after being suspended for an extended part of the year. After completing my GED, I enrolled at Rutgers-Newark in lieu of my senior year. With Hanna’s help, I was granted admission at Cornell University. I graduated summa cum laude in 2016 with a B.S. in Applied Economics & Management. I am now a CPA and attending Harvard Law School. Hanna understood my situation as no one else could. She was able to guide me out of a situation that no other counselors were willing to touch with a 10-foot pole or even knew how to truly approach. Her logical and compassionate nature allowed me to pursue my dreams, when all others gave me no shot. I would, hands-down, recommend her to any family or friend in a similar situation.  — Eric Z.

Hanna is incredibly knowledgeable and incredibly accessible.  She makes herself available when you need her.  As a parent, I often had urgent questions at random hours. I took comfort in hearing her advice. She has great recommendations for colleges to apply to given your child?s interests and temperament.  And she attends conferences with admissions officers regularly to keep up to speed on latest trends and developments.  You couldn’t have a better resource for the college admissions process. — Jeannie E., parent

Hanna, you helped me write an explanation letter so that I could have a second chance at a great institution. The depression I felt after being kicked out of school was crushing. It was my ‘rock bottom.’ However, that is no longer the case. I promised to work harder than ever before if given a second chance. I have done just that. I want you to know how much I appreciate what you did and will always remember it. You never hesitated for a second to tell me that it’s possible for me to go to medical school or law school. It’s people like you that motivate me to be the best I possibly can. Thank you for giving me your time so that I could better the rest of my life. — B.L., student who was expelled from college and then transferred
